Thanksgiving weekend was great. I really didn’t do that much. I ate a lot of food. I talked to relatives and friends. I sat around and watched football. And I sat around and played video games. I’m sure there are a few other things, but not much.
My parents had a big dinner at their house this year. The first Thanksgiving in the new place. We had 22 people there. People from my dad’s side. People from my mom’s side. And friends of the family.
Following are a few pictures from Thanksgiving Day.
Here is most of the Dunn family sitting on the couch. From the left it is my cousin Melissa, my uncle Bart, and cousins Chris, and Amy (who I have to thank for my fabulous hair). Bart is married to my mom’s sister Carol, who was probably cooking up a storm in the kitchen at the time this picture was taken.
Here we have my mom and my cousin Melissa showing off their cool sunglasses. I am also a fan of Melissa’s jacket, which she had picked up on sale that day. Hooray for deals. (one needs them to be able to afford The North Face)
Here is my niece Elaina and her Great Grandma Johnson (my dad’s mom). So cute.
For this next part you may find this chart helpful.
This is Soren, Greta, and Luke (aren’t they adorable?). Soren and Greta are my cousin Chris and his wife Kirsten’s children, making them my first cousins once removed. Luke is my nephew. Which makes him and the other two second cousins (their parents are cousins).
Here are Paul, my grandpa Johnson, Laura, Soren, and Greta’s leg. During dinner it seemed as though Laura was eating for two! (Okay, I know it’s really bad taste to make jokes at a pregnant woman’s expense. She’s due any day and I am very excited for her and Paul.)
Here is Paul practicing with a young one. He’s going to be such a great dad.
All in all a great day and a great weekend. I happened to have weighed myself last week sometime and then again this weekend. Amazingly I don’t seem to have gained any weight. I think it must be a fluke of when I weighed myself, being heavy for the day prior and light for the day following the food and the laziness. Because I ate a lot of food and did very little physical activity. Unless you count running up and down the stairs where I’m housesitting. That place is huge.

Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. I love the family pictures, any of your Dad and brother?

Hey Jackie, I think I may have a couple. Just not anything good enough to post. I’ll look when I’m at home next (I’m housesitting) and maybe send you some.
Yeah, Laura, nothing gets by me. ;) I bet you can’t wait until your child gets announced on my blog, huh?
