My grandpa had quadrudple bypass surgery yesterday. It really hasn’t even set in how serious of a surgery that is, even though it can probably be called routine these days. Clinton had one last year and of course it was newsworthy. But this one was a little more important to me. He’s doing great. He’s sitting up in bed today and eating and generally feeling fine. I guess he’s going to be moved out of the ICU later today or tomorrow.

I can’t imagine if it hadn’t gone well. Thank goodness these types of things are so commonplace. Do people even realize what an age of wonder we live in? People can be sedated and have their chest opened up with their heart exposed and then have arteries moved around to improve blood flow. It boggles the mind. I’m just happy he’s okay and he’ll be in less pain or danger than he was before.
